Nearly everyone has heard of the famous, Noah Flood in the Bible. Nonetheless, most folks are not aware that there are two “floods” in the book of Genesis and the Noah Flood is the lesser of the two. Let’s begin with the bigger deluge, clues about which we learn from a careful reading of the very first words of the Bible.
Genesis 1.1 starts off with, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” A Companion Bible note tells us this points to “Creation in eternity past, to which all fossils and “remains” belong.” Then verse 2 adds, “And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.” The Companion Bible attaches another note to this verse, pointing out that the word “was” should really be translated as “became.” So “the earth became without form, and void.” In other words, a long period of time passed between the creation of the earth and its destruction by water. A further note in the Companion Bible tells us the words “without form” infer the meaning of waste. In Haggai 2.6 God says, “Yet once I will shake the earth.” This indication that God will shake the earth again presupposes that He has shaken it before. So, long ago, God shook the earth and it became waste and empty. Then, “the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The Hebrew word ruach means spirit, breath, wind and by extension, power. So we get a picture of God sending a violent wind on violent waters, bringing catastrophe to the earth and its prior inhabitants. This event is called the tohu va bohu in ancient Hebrew and katabole in ancient Greek. It is often mistranslated as “the foundation of the world” but it really means the destruction, or overthrow, of one age and the beginning of another.
What do we make of this? There was a worldwide civilization on the earth before Adam, which became evil and was destroyed by God. God shook the earth, creating mile-high tsunamis which swept over the land and destroyed that civilization, along with the dinosaurs. The remains of this advanced civilization can be traced by the amazing stone structures they left behind, many of which are beyond our means to mimic today. They include the Great Pyramid of Egypt, Tiahuanaco and Machu Picchu in South America and others, some even found beneath the sea.
Coal. It was during this tohu va bohu that coal was formed. In Worlds in Collision, Immanuel Velikovsky explained that during the cataclysm, mile-high ocean waves pushed whole forests and cities ahead of them. Then, when the waves broke, they compressed this organic material without oxygen, heating it up and creating the carbon we know as coal. As the waves broke and fell back, they dragged a layer of earth back over the newly-formed coal, creating the blackened soil which miners call “overburden.” It is these layers of overburden between seams of coal which put the lie to the establishment story that coal was formed by organic material simply falling into the water, over millions or billions of years. All the coal in the world may have been formed in a matter of hours. Evidence for this outlook is plentiful. Many plant fossils are easy to see in coal. But human jewelry has also been found in coal. I have personally seen an iron cooking-pot found by coal-workers in coal.
So-called “passage graves” have mystified archaeologists. These are believed to be ancient burial structures, where a number of dead are found buried in a sitting position. However, they are nothing of the sort. Like the Great Pyramid, they are a type of bomb shelter. Ancient “preppers” knew a war with Heaven was coming and prepared for it as best they could. The reason their bodies were found sitting up is because they were not dead when they entered the shelter. They were slain when overwhelmed with water. All this did not happen millions and millions of years ago, as establishment academics claim. I estimate the time passed since the tohu va bohu may be as little as 8000 years. It may be even less. The skeleton of Kennewick Man, a Caucasian discovered on the banks of the Columbia River in Washington State, in 1996, was radiocarbon dated as being 9300 to 9600 years old. It seems likely he was a part of the prehistoric civilization.
Why was this civilization destroyed? Amongst other evils unknown to us, the fallen angels who led this civilization decided to act as gods themselves, by creating the dinosaurs and other weird creatures of that era. Part of this activity was probably incited by pure greed. The fossil record shows there were trees in North America exactly like trees today, except much larger. If you were an international lumber tycoon, would you want bigger trees? Of course, so they made them, by genetic modification. Genetic modification is being practiced again, in our time. There are genetically modified (GMO) trees being grown in North America today. Many of the plants we now use as food are GMO creations. It’s all been done before, and more, by the devil, his fallen angels and his followers on the earth. Now that we’ve covered the first flood recorded in Genesis, let’s turn to the other.
Flood number two. The flood of Noah is recorded in Genesis chapters 6 to 8. Contrary to widespread belief, it did not cover the entire earth. So why do people believe that? “Because the Bible says so.” However, it’s an honest mistake, because that belief is based on a longstanding mistranslation. In ancient Hebrew, the word erets means both “earth” and “land.” So the Noah Flood covered the whole land that Noah and his family had been living in, not the whole earth. The animals taken into the ark were not every species on earth. They were largely agricultural animals needed to start making a living after the flood.
The widespread evidence of the tohu va bohu is wrongfully interpreted by church Creation Scientists as being from a “worldwide flood of Noah” and without knowing the double meaning of the word erets, it’s an easy error to make. But the Noah Flood occurred in the Tarim Basin, just south of the Tien Shan Mountains, in what is now known as the Takla Makan. This area of what is now Western China is located at approximately 77-90 degrees east and 37-40 degrees north. You can easily find it in an atlas.
This clears up a lot of questions about the Noah Flood. Noah did not have to travel to Africa, South America and Australia to collect anteaters, elephants and kangaroos, along with the millions of species of insects which inhabit the earth. Nor did he have to go put them all back again, when the flood was over. That the water rose 15 cubits higher than the hills does not mean it covered Mount Everest. After all, where would the water all go, when the flood subsided? Insane theories have arisen to try to explain this, all because of one common mistranslation. The Chinese called Noah Fu-Hi and their records inform us that the waters overflowed the mountains of the Takla Makan into their territory. The old land of Noah, once dominated by the fallen angels, is the fabled “Shangri-la” of Asiatic legend.
Giants inhabited the earth before Noah’s flood and also prior to the tohu va bohu. Genesis 6.4 tells us these monsters were the children of the fallen angels with mortal women. Not only were they much larger than normal people, they were also more intelligent, owing to their angelic parentage. Giant remains have also been found in “burial mounds” in the USA, in the company of people of normal size. When the giants died, their spirits became the demons who possess many of the World Order today. Demons are not devils. Devils are the spirits of the fallen angels and demons are the spirits of their ghastly children, the giants. More giants are described later in the Old Testament, fighting against the Israelites. They are often referred to as Rephaim, or the sons of Repha–and Anakim, or the sons of Anak. In the King James Version, their spirits are sometimes ambiguously called, “the dead.”
One final myth which has received great circulation in churches concerns the landing of Noah’s ark, which Genesis 8.4 tells us happened on “the mountains of Ararat.” Because Ararat is the name of a mountain in Armenia, many believe that is where Noah parked the ark. I have even read a news article claiming the belief of many that the remains of the ark are still up there. The funny thing is, in spite of all this publicity, no-one has found it yet, because the ark never came near Armenia. The Hebrew verb arar means “to bitterly curse.” (That’s word number 779 in the Hebrew Lexicon of the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). God bitterly cursed the land of Takla Makan and its mountains. The wooden ark no doubt decomposed centuries ago. The same root word arar probably explains the meaning of Armageddon. Revelation 16.16 calls this the battle between the armies of the world. God will bitterly curse them and they will annihilate each other.
So now we know about the two “floods” in the book of Genesis. One was a local flood and the other was a worldwide tsunami disaster. Both civilizations–that of the tohu va bohu and the land of Noah–were destroyed for the same reason. The fallen angels messed with God’s creation to create monsters.
