Back in 1970, Germaine Greer published The Female Eunuch, a book which has influenced feminism ever since. In 1999, she wrote The Whole Woman. In this second book, she lamented that although women’s lives had changed in thirty years, they had not noticeably improved. I agree. Her suggested solution to that problem was “It’s time to get angry again.” But if thirty years of anger cannot improve the feminine condition, why should we believe that it will improve by thirty years more of the same strategy? Sixty years is often the entire, adult lifespan. Who wants to spend their entire lifetime in bitterness and anger–especially against those they love? This sounds like the same old establishment thinking that the solution to every problem is to start a war. But Christ tells us to “Do unto others as you would have them do to you” and God will only help those who keep His rules.
Speaking from experience, I’d advise any woman never to tackle the male ego head on, if you can avoid that. I’m talking strategically, as a guy who was a slave to his male ego for much of his life. Head-on confrontations cause the male ego to get mad, ignore you and possibly leave you–none of which is what you entered the relationship for in the first place. You have to be wiser than that. Besides, the prophecies predict that we are about to go through a few years of hard times and family unity will be necessary for survival.
God clearly has a sense of humor, as well as justice, because He has predestined women to lead us into a new and fairer society. Every leader has strategy and it strengthens every leader to convince others to join her side. As I show often in The Death and Resurrection of the West, women are now God-chosen to invent a better life for us all. What is the spirit of invention? Is it not adventure, curiosity, patience and creativity? When Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, are we to believe that he accomplished that through rage? Of course not. This brings me to my point.
The apostles wrote rules for feminine conduct. Although the old, patriarchal society has come to an end, their words should now be viewed as lessons in strategy, from old and trustworthy friends who want you to succeed. The change to come will be led by women using Christian weapons of love, intelligence, forgiveness, patience, faith, mirth, creativity and tenderness. The world is about to be rearranged in feminine ways, for the first time in history. And God will reward every woman for her part in this work. The Bible’s pattern of symbols reveals that women, with the advantage of God’s Holy Spirit, will outsmart and outperform the men, until the men catch on and catch up. And they will catch up. Meanwhile, women can have a lot of fun with this.
So I agree with Germaine Greer that women’s lives must be improved. But I disagree with her strategy, which I figure has failed and will fail again. The apostle James tells us all, “Let everyone be quick to listen, slow to assert, slow to anger” (James 1.19). That is the way of the Holy Spirit, which is about to return to this world, in women first. The Holy Spirit brings happiness and peace of mind, not anger.
Complicating factors. The rising cost of living and the loss of good jobs through free trade and other economic sabotage has been particularly damaging to the male ego these nowadays, because the traditional role as the family provider is increasingly taken away. As a result, male suicide has skyrocketed. We don’t need that. God made us men and women so that we can help each other. I believe feminine wisdom will keep many men and children alive, in the coming days. The Bible symbolizes all of Christendom as a “woman” who is undergoing the temporary, extreme pains of childbirth to bring forth a new era of unimaginable peace and prosperity. Childbirth is a routine part of our culture. The fact that women survive it all the time is symbolic proof from God that we’re going to make it, if we live by the simple, innovative strategy of Jesus Christ. We must rely upon Him totally, because the rules of our satanic, secular society can no longer guide us into a worthwhile way of life.
We are now in a position to see that the status of women has changed, because God wanted it to change. And we will experience further, fun changes yet.
Thank you for reading this article. I invite you to read The Death and Resurrection of the West Foretold in Prophecy, to see biblical proof that women will be the leaders who will transform society into something really good, with the help of God. My second book is Do-it-Yourself Home Christianity: How to Please God and Receive His Help Without Preachers, Churches, or Money. This is a very brief little guide to receiving the Holy Spirit and staying on track with God, at home.
