Allow me to introduce myself. I am mot a member of any church, nor am I starting one. I’m 70 years old at this writing. I have dedicated decades to studying the Bible independently and I have written two books explaining how the Bible’s symbols greatly reshape and color the meaning of prophecy for today. The mark of the beast is a symbol, so let’s figure it out. This quest is necessary, because every symbol in the Bible must be verified by similar symbols in the same Book, to be sure the interpretation is true. When we examine the symbol of the mark of the beast in light of the rest of the Bible, this opens to us a solid understanding which stands contrary to what the media and many religious sources are telling us. I’ll begin by thanking my old friend Barry Huddleston, who first introduced me to this topic.
For years, some church people and even atheists have told me that the day will come when the cash and debit cards will be taken away and we’ll all be implanted with a microchip in our hand or forehead, which we’ll need to buy or sell, and which many believe will be the mark of the beast of Revelation chapter 13. A cashless society indeed seems to be coming–but it will not be the mark of the beast.
In order to understand this, let’s flip the coin and look at biblical symbols which show being marked as a good thing! In Ezekiel chapter 9, God calls six men with weapons and a seventh one with a marker in his hand. The Man with the marker symbolizes Jesus Christ. God tells Jesus to go through the population and write a mark on everyone who “grieves and mourns” the evil done in society. Then He tells the others to follow behind and kill whoever does not have that mark. Next, in Revelation chapter 13 (the same chapter which talks about the mark of the beast), God says to “kill all those who have not the mark of God upon their foreheads.”
Romans 8.28-39 of The Holy Bible From the Ancient Eastern Text expands on this. “We know that those who love God are helped by Him in everything for good. He knew them in advance and He marked them with the likeness of the image of His Son…Moreover, those whom He marked in advance He has called, and those He has called, He has declared righteous, and those whom He has declared righteous He has glorified.” We have now seen two symbols demonstrating that Jesus Christ marks His people for survival.
Here’s a third example from Ephesians 4.30: “Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, by Whom you are marked for a day of redemption” (Holy Bible in Modern English). It helps to read different versions of the Bible. Not all of them use the word “mark” in every case. Sometimes the word can be “sealed,” for instance. This can cause confusion for people who rigidly stick to only one translation. Never be a one-Bible-only stick-in-the-mud. Different translators cast light on different meanings.
The symbols of the Bible all fit into a pattern, so the mark of God is the opposite of the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is the mark of the beastly world, or World Order, under which we now live. The mark of God is the Holy Spirit, which we can receive through faith in Christ. Having one of these marks means you do not have the other. Both of these symbols are spiritual marks, not physical ones. The mark of the beast symbolizes a lack of the Holy Spirit.
Nonetheless, a material world looks for a material mark, which would prevent them from buying food, paying rent or utilities, etc. Now we can see how millions are getting ready to die of hunger, homelessness, or hypothermia by misunderstanding the meaning of the mark of the beast and cutting themselves off from the economy. If we get microchipped, or financially enslaved some other way, won’t we “grieve and mourn” it, in keeping with the survivors in Ezekiel chapter 9, above? Facial recognition and palm identification is available on cell phones right now and although I find it creepy, it is not the mark of the beast. What if we get microchipped? We will certainly not become willing slaves to the devil, as so many people claim. We will hate it. Besides, we are already the devil’s slaves in this satanic World Order. But when our ancestors became enslaved in Egypt, as recorded in the Exodus, God freed the slaves and annihilated the enslavers. Besides, we have never really been free. History is the history of slavery. Freedom is the political condition of the future, which God will make sure we share if we keep our heads. In Luke 21.19, Christ tells us, “By your patience you will preserve your lives.”
Now get ready for a surprise. We were born with the mark of the beast, which we lose when we receive the Holy Spirit. A comprehensive reading of the Scriptures makes it clear that we existed before, in Heaven but we followed the devil’s rebellion there and we died, to be reborn as children of Adam and Eve, on earth. Our loving God did not want us to die, so obedience to Christ is the rehabilitation program He uses to get us back. This explains how we can be “born in sin,” because we sinned in that past life. That also explains why we are born with the mark of the beast. It’s the same thing. As every parent can see, we were not born innocent. We need to learn that too.
Natural vs. Spiritual. 1st Corinthians 2.14 says, “The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God” (King James Version). When we receive the Holy Spirit, we leave our “natural” nature behind and become Spiritual persons thereafter, marked by God instead of the devil and the world.
Vaccinations. Since Covid 19, I have heard people say that if you have been vaccinated, you have already taken the mark of the beast. The story goes that graphene in the inoculations will hook up with 5G microwaves to, once again, make us slaves to the devil’s World Order. Millions of our people have been forced into vaccinations because they know if they lose their jobs, they’ll lose their homes and be unable to feed their families. Vaccinations are not the mark of the beast. They are just very risky for your health. God will never judge you for slavery forced on you by others. Again, He will judge the enslavers. That is not to say that I approve of vaccinations, which also give me the creeps.
The World Order has made it public that they want to reduce the earth’s population and that means killing people, which means us. They would love to knock us off by convincing us to voluntarily starve to death. Have you noticed how many movies and TV shows depict a microchip as the mark of the beast? Is the devil incapable of keeping a secret, or is he advertising a depopulation plan? Please do not starve yourself. Please get a solid bite on the hopeful meaning of the Bible and survive.
There is one other matter. Some preppers believe that they must stash food and own a patch of land to survive a physical mark of the beast. But what if you’re not rich enough to do that? Didn’t Jesus bless the poor? James 2.5 says, “Did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs to the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?” So the key to survival is faith and the love of God. God would never put a rule in place which gave no chance for the poor to please Him. On the contrary, Jesus Christ tells us “It is easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God” (Matthew 19.24).You don’t need money to get there. You need a solid connection with Jesus Christ, which is the Holy Spirit, Period.
In order to make God mad, you must break one of His rules and His rules are listed in the Bible, in plain language. There is no mistaking their meaning. Compare this to the endless legends about the mark of the beast. I have heard it described as a tattoo, a bar code, a debit card, a microchip and other forms of digital currency. God’s Law, on the other hand, is clear and easy to understand. So we do not need to worry about a digital currency. We need to get forgiveness from Christ for those Laws of God which we have broken. Many people today fret about the mark of the beast, while forgetting all about their real sins, which can genuinely doom them.
In an honest society, a cashless system might be a blessing, where we can simply use our cell phones to make quick, secure transactions. And there is really nothing wrong with an international currency, because it facilitates trade without money-changing charges. In the godly society to come, the entire West will become a single confederacy with one currency. Progress is not to be feared. It is institutionalized corruption, which controls us today, which is the problem.
The prophecies clarify that our society is dripping with corruption, therefore it is due for a divine Correction. But they also predict that after that brief period, we are destined for a thousand years of unequalled peace and prosperity, right here on earth. So stick around.
Thank you for joining me. I have dealt with this topic in more depth and detail in my little book, Home Christianity, the whole point of which is how to receive the Holy Spirit privately, at home, through simple steps. My other book, The Death and Resurrection of the West Foretold in Prophecy, explains a pattern of symbols in the Bible predicting that the Age of the Church would end and that a period of chaos would intervene before we enter into a thouand years of prosperity and peace. Both books are available on this website.
